1. I’ll be doing the _last_ personal appearance of the year at CHANGING HANDS bookstore in Tempe, AZ, on Dec. 11th, at 7PM. Will sign anything.

2. If you can’t make that date, or live somewhere inconvenient
3. The Poisoned Pen did ask me to tell you that since A TRAIL OF FIRE has to be imported from the UK, they can’t guarantee before-Christmas arrival to you (since they’ve almost run out of their current stock and can’t tell exactly when they’ll get their next order), but will be happy to give you a pre-Xmas gift certificate to present to someone if you wanted to give this particular book as a gift.
FINALLY have ordered my first hardcovers – have read everything e-book! Thanks for the link to the Pen’s website! Worked great.
I love The Poisoned Pen!! They are always so accommodating. I wish I lived close to them.
I agree The Poisoned Pen is an awesome bookstore. The staff are always so friendly and the orders are always correct. Thank you Diana for supporting a smaller bookstore. Something to be said for the smaller stores services verses the big box book stores. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
“A Trail of Fire” is a great book, worth waiting for. Got mine at amazon.co.uk though. Poisoned Pen is a great bookstore if you choose to go through them. Just be sure you get it somewhere!
I love your books and ordered two from The Poisoned Pen for Christmas presents for my mom and sister. So far im honestly not impressed with their service, i ordered them 10 days ago and the payment just went through and i emailed them asking what was happening with the orders two days ago and still no response. As far as that kind of customer service goes, huge thumbs down. All i want is a simple update saying whatever is going on with the orders. Only reason i even chose to buy from them is because you sign books there and recommended them! Instead of getting an email from them saying what you just wrote, i have to find out from reading your blog?! Hope everyone else has a better experience, and i hope that the books i ordered will at least make it near Christmas…
Dear Natasha–
I’m sorry your order was delayed. A TRAIL OF FIRE is imported from the UK, so the bookstore often doesn’t _know_ when they’ll receive the books–and given that I just had knee surgery, they didn’t know how soon I’d be available to sign them, either. I hope you enjoy them when you get them.
–Diana
I hope your knee will heal fast and painless. Enjoy your meds! Try to take it easy on yourself and rest. Merry Christmas and happiness is my wish for you. Sam
I ordered my copy of A Trail of Fire from Amazon UK and it did take quite awhile to get here. But it is here and I am loving Michael and Joan’s adventure so far. I will have to bring it with me, when you are making an appearance near me, for you to sign it.
Woops! I forgot to ask how you are doing Diana with your recovery. I hope you are feeling better and getting around much easier.
Sorry to hear about your knee Knee surgery sucks! The only reason i’m so irritated is because when i ordered them it was labeled as in stock My family members have been informed that they will likely be late, thankfully they don’t know what it is still i unfortunately do not get a copy lol maybe if im lucky enough my mom or sister will lend it to me when there done theirs lol
Natasha,
I have found that the best way to find out what is going on at The Poisoned Pen, is to call them. They really are very friendly and helpful when you connect with them over the phone. I hope your books make it for Christmas!
Thanks Mindi, but im in Canada and calling them will be very costly!!
Diana,
What has happened to your blog on MOHB, I went to read new updates, and the blog was gone.
Thank you,
Lucille
Diana I just wanted to tell you that one of the books arrived a couple days ago to my mother who is a huge fan and who introduced my sister and I to Jamie and Claire. ..she nearly cried when she saw it signed by you ♥ thank you for being such an amazing author and taking the time to autograph your books for your readers! You made my moms christmas present 1000 times better then just the book alone!
