  1. Welcome home, Homer! He’s prescious :)

  2. Awww! You just want to cuddle him!

  3. I grew up with a red standard and have a mini now. You’re right that its really difficult now and days to find a standard breeder. Homer is so cute, love this photo of a great dachsund curl pose. He looks like he has a very sweet personality.

  4. Oh good grief, he’s cute! I want to nibble on those ears.

My fingers at itching to comment on the bookshelves in the background (have a mind of their own, these fingers) while my head reminds them that your writing is far more important than my obsessive need for order (books only. The rest of my home is a hazard.)

Focus on the dog, Thelma. The dog. [g]

  5. Hi Diana,
Congratulations on your new addition! A puppy brings a lot of joy into a home.
Homer looks so velvety. His expression is so serious too-so his name suits him very much.

  6. OMG! Look at that face! It’s got “I didn’t do it” all over it. *laughs* So sweet.

Congrats on the new addition to the family.

  7. I think this Letter O pose is my favorite.

  8. That is some serious cuteness going on there.

  9. Dear Thelma–

What, you think my bookshelves are disorganized?!? [g]

Actually, the bookshelves are very carefully organized, because I have to be able to locate a given one (of several thousand books)_when_ I need it, and not spend hours dredging through the house for it while I’m writing.

That said, my office is in the process of being remodeled, which means all of the free-standing shelves were hauled out, most of their contents carefully boxed (so I can still find things when needed, even if I do have to go to the garage to do so. argh!), and the things that I just _have_ to have close to hand were of necessity piled into the built-in shelves (where my core reference collection lives), along with the constant tide of incoming TBR books (because the bookcase where those normally live is gone, too).

  10. That picture of him curled in the coach is just beyond cute!! Congratulations on the new puppy!

  11. OMG! He’s adorable! My mini dachshund Murphy could be Homer’s twin. I’ve seen this pose many times- he almost in the “donut” position! LOL!

  12. My dog loves to sleep on the tops of my cushions too! Which doesn't improve the couch's appearance but keeps my dog immensely happy. There was never a thought in my mind to discourage her from snuggling on the cushions, she owns my heart. Besides my husband hated the loose cushion comfy couch idea and would like nothing better than a new fixed cushion leather sectional. But even he will take one of the cushions onto the floor and finds that soooo convenient and comfortable. Congrats on Homer, he's a doll.
