“Auld Lang Syne” – A Season’s Greeting from Kevin Walsh

This lovely arrangement of the traditional Scottish song (words by Robert Burns) is by Kevin Walsh, the wonderful composer who did the music for OUTLANDER: The Musical. Kevin thought you might enjoy this, and I certainly agree!

If you’d like to keep the song with you for a little longer, it’s available here on iTunes.

Happy Solstice!

  1. That’s lovely ! Thanks a lot ! A happy Christmas to you Diana and your family. All the best from PARIS, France

  2. I love this song – it is very well known in Germany:

    Nehmt Abschied, BrĂ¼der

It is widely used as a farewell song by the members of the DPSG, the largest German scout organization.

I like the scottish accent so much…

  3. Beautiful! Thank you!

  4. Ah, Herself has blessed us yet again! We raise a wee drop of O Be Joyful to her and each other!

  5. That was a verra lovely piece there by Kevin. I had not really realized the song was Scottish before now and I have to say I enjoyed this version more than any I have heard previously. Diana have a very merry and blessed holiday to ye. Ye started me on a Scottish path and I have been blessed now to go to Scotland and see the motherland and fall inlove with my ancestral kin. Thank ye verra kindly. I dream of Jamie at night. Slainte!

    • I also have realized what my ancestry is due in most part to reading the Outlander series. I am very proud to know that I am over half Scottish and French and what a wonderful heritage that is. It is my dream to visit Scotland. Thank you so much, Diana. The Floyd County, Kentucky Fraziers (my mom’s family), of whom many are James, feel very blessed to know about their true origins via the internet and Ancestry.com, which would not have happened without me discovering your books. Ialso very much enjoyed the song as well. My mother has sung it to us many many times.

  6. Thanks for sharing this wonderful version of the song, Diana. Love the vocals!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
