2021-11-22-PRH-BEES-virtual-event

I’m thrilled to announce the virtual GO TELL THE BEES THAT I AM GONE launch event to celebrate its publication! You will need a ticket (even the virtual world is not infinite, alas), but tickets are available NOW! You may sign up for a free ticket or one of the paid options; paid include a copy of the book.

So—I hope you’ll join us on Monday, November 22 at 7:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time-EST-U.S.A.) for a virtual event celebrating all things Outlander and launching my new book.

To determine your local time if you live in a different time zone around the world, go to;

This will be the only major book event that I’m doing this fall, where I will discuss BEES, the Starz Outlander TV show, and more. I’ll be in conversation with Maureen Lee Lenker from Entertainment Weekly, I’ll answer some of your burning questions (you can submit yours for review when you register for your ticket!) and there will be, um, a few secret things, as well.

You can find all information about the event, and order your tickets, at the link here:

  1. I’m thrilled about this release, even from across the pond where I’ve no chance of attending the event.

I’ve been waiting for what seems like ages for “Bees” though if ever a series ended perfectly I’d say it was already accomplished. I feel like I’m going to get to visit with some long-lost friends in a few weeks.

I’d started reading the series about 6 months before going to Scotland on vacation. It was nice to have some historical perspective, and Diana Gabaldon did a fabulous job with the history.

Now to go place my pre-order!

    • Hi, Valerie,

The November 22 event launching BEES is a virtual event, which means it will take place entirely on line via streaming video (Zoom web client). Folks in multiple countries may watch if they sign up for a free ticket or buy one of the tickets with extras, such as a copy of the new book. It is hosted by Diana’s publisher, Random House.

So, not sure what you mean by ‘across the pond’ about the Nov. 22 event, since folks in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. can obtain a ticket to watch it live online, as well as other countries, from what i understand.

Some folks, including Diana, will be joining live on November 22, while some actors and others may have submitted recorded greetings.

Waterstones bookseller in the U.K. is replaying the launch event on Nov. 23 for folks there.

      Cheers,

  2. Hello, I am impressed by the plethora of related stories to Outlander, and wonder if there is one that gives the childhood history of Claire. If there is not, it seems like a really worthwhile project that many of us would love to read.
    Thanks
    Lana

  3. Is there any chance there will be a recording we can watch at a later date?

    • Hi, Eva,

A great question. I will see if I can find out and will post what I find.

Waterstones in the U.K. is replaying it on November 23 for folks who want to register through them. But I don’t know about the U.S.A. and other countries.

      Thanks!

  4. Will there be an audio version released at the same time as the print or will it be later? My husband and I don’t have much time to read (much as we love it) and really enjoy listening to books on our 4 hr drives (each way) to our nearest VA doctors. We have been anxiously awaiting the books release.

  5. I am curious to learn whether Jenny remembers Roger from 1739 when they meet again. anyone else?

  6. Hello,

Do you have any information regarding the trivia and giveaways portion of the event for this Monday? How will that be handled and how many will be offered? So far, neither the people at Old Town Books or Random House have been able to answer those questions.

    Thanks,
    Deb
