Well, today is/was the 4th (and final) Sunday of Advent. It’s a bit more on top of Christmas than usual, which accounts for all the boxes and wrapping paper and detached labels floating through the house…
BUT… the main purpose of Advent is to “prepare the way”, so let’s take advantage of the peace of this night to sit for a moment and let our spirits grow calm in contemplation of the holy silence of the night and the coming miracle of grace and love.

About Arby:
In a comment on my Facebook page, Rene R. had a question:
“May I ask what breed please?”
My response:
Haha! According to the shelter from which he was adopted: “Mama was a French Bulldog and Daddy was whatever got into the yard.” <cough>
My son, out of curiosity, had Arby’s Doggie-DNA done, and Daddy—apparently—was a Siberian Husky. Net result being that Arby looks quite a lot like a hyena when the mood takes him…

I LOVE this tidbit from Jaime and William. I love that Jaime can fill in information William was never told. I felt it was sad he never realized his Mom did see, hold and love him. I hated how the family seemed so tight lipped about her other than negative things and hated they made it seem she died because of him. He has carried a guilt because he blamed himself and that guilt goes with a child.

I really hope they have lots of heart to heart talks like this and it opens Willie’s mind heart and all of the good memories of Mac. Most of all I hope he sees they all tried to protect his title and reputation during those harsh times.
I really hope you write a wonderful happy ending with no more death and a great happy family ending. I also hope for more revelations about Jaime having the sight in his dreams and Jenny having it too. So much has been mentioned in little teasers of their powers…but some may not have picked up on their gift of sight. They may not even realize their own power. Id love to see the revelation that he and Davy too have the power and can travel but need more assistance like from incantations, drawings extra and different types stones together and sacrifice if a must could be animal blood or even their own just a splash etc. Wouldn’t it be incredible for him to end up in Claire’s time? Living in luxury and comfort after getting rid of the Brianna’s bad guys …they would have no more battles or wars to fight? Poor Jaime has fought his whole life. It would be great for him to enjoy what he fought so hard for. They could fix the titles for the land and Lallybroch to ensure all being handed down before they travel forward…even Ian and William even can travel forward. It seems to be a genetic trait handed down on Claire’s side and Rogers through Gillian which is why their children are so powerful, but the sight is in Jenny and Jaime too.. so maybe can put a spin on that ..esp since Jaime’svision in dreams is so descriptive. Not only was his ghost seen by Frank and felt by him, just as frank is felt by Jaime and Claire, but he saw and described things Claire never told him and Jenny can do the same. Plus at full power Claire should be able to hold his hand and take him. Master Raymond took Counte st Germaine with him right? Just a thought
These books are amazing. I have read thousands of books and many series in my life. These are the best! I have some important people in my tree… Elvis was always my favorite, even though I’m related to kings, princesses, countesses.. I never thought it any value to me other than to know where my family started. Before your books, I hadnt gone far enought to know King Robert Stewart II was just my 14th great Grandfather over in Scotland. But some places or names just make our blood click and we get that feeling of dejavu… so we start searching farther. I never understood the importance of who they were or what happened in their name until I read your books. Now I see the great battles and loss of lives in battles over that family’s, MY family’s, right to the throne of Scotland. I didn’t go as far back in the tree until I was reading your books and it hit me hard. All of those lives lost… not just over them…but over the freedom of Scotland, their way of life. I hear very sad things about the current conditions as well..I dont know wh a teenager true but I do know Imust visit Scotland before I die. And I better hurry since im getting old fast.. I just must see this place of beauty, history, and its way of life.
Your books in this series are the best I’ve ever read. Thank you for writing them. Thank you for the way you do research and make them so correct and real for the time, dress, and its way of life. It really opens eyes. Bless you!!
