As I’ve said, I’m trying not to travel much this year, in hopes of finishing Book Ten sooner, rather than later.
Still, there are two events that I’ve done every year for… well, many years. <g> I planned to do those again in 2025: the Northern Arizona Celtic Historical Society (NACHS) Highland Tea which I attended in April, and the Surrey International Writers’ Conference in October, which was cancelled, unfortunately. Happy to say that the Surrey Conference will return in October, 2026.
Thanks!

The Moores Creek National Battlefield posted this entry on the Battlefield’s official Facebook page on November 20 and Diana reposted it:
Nearly 250 years ago, just months after the battles of Lexington and Concord, a civil war erupted in North Carolina. Patriots and Loyalists faced off against one another at the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge on February 27, 1776. This pivotal event led to the signing of the Halifax Resolves on April 12, 1776, which granted the delegates from North Carolina the authority to vote for independence from Great Britain. On July 4, 1776, the thirteen American colonies officially separated from Great Britain with the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
From February 26-28, Moores Creek National Battlefield will commemorate the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge and our independence from Great Britain. Throughout these three days, we have many programs planned for your enjoyment. Additionally, we will have a special guest attending that weekend, Diana Gabaldon, the author of the Outlander series of books.
We look forward to seeing you then; it will be a blast! Don’t have a copy of Diana Gabaldon’s A BREATH OF SNOW AND ASHES, no worries, you can obtain one in our Eastern National bookstore.
