The People’s Choice Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. These awards are voted on by members of the public. The public also creates the categories and selects nominees for the awards.
The Starz OUTLANDER TV Series won the People’s Choice Award for the Favorite Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show. Actors Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and Catriona Balfe (Claire Beauchamp) accepted the award for the series. Other nominees for the award won by OUTLANDER were American Horror Story, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead.
