I’m writing to you from Argentina. I’m a big fan of this story and your books.
I’m wondering two things: 1. Claire is already a grown woman, and I don’t remember reading anything about the vaginal dryness that plagues those of us around that age. I also don’t remember Jamie having trouble choosing.
2. How are you handling the issue of the series finale with your own ending? I understand you’re collaborating with the production. But do you feel there’s any overlap?

Your stories sharing the way love grows and continues and lasts is exactly WHY I love the outlander series so much. Books that show characters within the first weeks or months of meeting are charming but I find them a bit vapid and cannot read more than a couple per year. I love that Outlander is like diving into real life.

So anxious to read this book. But also hate the end of Jamie and Claire. Love the characters. Hopeful this book comes to life as a movie with Sam, Caitriona and the entire cast back at it one more time on screen as well.

Loved the excerpt from your new book. I was instantly thrust back into the story. I’m so looking forward to reading the rest of the story. I’ve read the series many times over the years, and although it may be the last, I will always vividly recall Jamie and Claire’s world. Thank you.

Easton Press is the only publisher I know of that carries a new green real-leather edition of OUTLANDER, Diana’s first book, signed by her. Is pricey, as leather editions are. The link is:

Of course, the Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale sells signed copies of all Diana’s book editions currently in print (hardcover and paperback, but no leather editions). My mother, Joanne Altieri is a HUGE fan of Diana Gabaldon and her Outlander Series. I am sure she is thrilled BOOK 10 is being worked on this year! My dear mother is 12-years senior to this fabulous author who was devistated when a violent Hurricaine flooded their home and she lost vertually everything in Pasco County, FL. To this day, her most prized loss was her green leather hard back Outlander book signed by Diana Gabaldon.

Where can I obtain an authentic new copy for her? There are numerous FICTITIOUS outlets and I want to be sure to get her a new book for her birthday, August 25, 2025. (She will be 86)

Thank you for your dedication to this amazing series and ALL of your wonderful work, Diana! You are loved!

Diana has stated that Book 10 will likely be the last book which centers of Jamie and Claire.

After Book 10, she has several writing projects that she wants to finish, including the prequel book about Jamie’s parents and a novel about Master Raymond.

After that, who knows?

Hi, Sue,

Still no title for Book 10 of Diana’s Outlander series of major novels as of May 4, 2025. She’s always happy to know that folks are anxious to read the next book, but there is no way to rush the creative process. These books are huge and take years to write.

Diana has announced here on her website and also on her official facebook page that she is staying home (limiting travel) in 2025 to work on Book 10. Once she finishes writing it and doing research for it, the book will have to go through the publication process. Once she finishes writing it and the editing and publication process begins, no doubt she will announce that. The final publication release date of Book 10 will be set by her U.S. publisher, not Diana.
