Hi, Judi,

All comments submitted on Diana Gabaldon's website are moderated. That means that Diana or I read and approve them.

Why are comments moderated? To ensure spam of all kinds does not get posted on her website. and other skullduggery. A sign of the times. Web comments are a bit different than posting on social media like Facebook.

Also, sometimes folks submit very private information and may not realize that web comments are open to the public and search engines on the web.

So it may take a day or two for comments to appear. Diana loves to hear from all of you.

Thanks,
Loretta

Hi, Judi,

Have you read the Outlander and Lord John short fiction by Diana? Plus there is a novel about Lord John, too. They are listed in her Chronology of the Outlander series webpage at:

https://dianagabaldon.com/books/chronology-of-the-outlander-series/

Some of her novellas and short stories are published in multi-author anthologies. Here is a list of her Outlander and Lord John short fiction (and a few others!) and where they were published:

https://dianagabaldon.com/books/novellas-and-short-fiction/all-short-fiction-by-title/

Diana is working hard to finish A BLESSING FOR A WARRIOR GOING OUT, so hang on!

Have you read all of the excerpts from BLESSING? Diana has released a lot of them, over forty, methinks. They are listed (by temporary titles) on the right side of her official Book Ten webpage at:

https://dianagabaldon.com/books/outlander-series/book-ten-no-title-yet/

The excerpts give us a fabulous taste of this new book. There might be minor spoilers in them.

All best,

Loretta

I have read all the Outlander books having just finished "Go Tell the Bees That I am Gone". I also ran across the Outlander TV series in 2023 and was immediately engrossed in the story. I continued watching the entire saga and have now watched part 3 of Season 8. I have also rewatched most of the first 7 seasons. I am also reading the excerpts for book 10. While reading "Bees" I found on pages 24o and 434 with text mentioning the title for book 10. Clair says maybe she should learn the words of the blessing for a warrior going out. I am 87 years old and hope I will be alive to read book 10 when it is published. That is one of my goals but that is up to God. However, I am enjoying Season 8 as well as the prequel BYOB. I plan to read some of your other books and hope you will keep writing the "Outlander" series. I believe Jamie and Claire's final scene in the book will be as the lovers are depicted in the film "Wuthering Heights". I love your stories!

Hello!
First, I would like to thank you for creating these amazing characters that have become my “family.” I only discovered Outlander 5 & 1/2 years ago starting with the series. Once I discovered the show was adapted from the novels, I started reading the series. I have always been an avid reader but I am so attached to this story that I’ve read little else (maybe 5 other novels a year) and just start rereading the series…..again and again. I hate to think how many times I’ve read the series. These books have become my escape. At the end of the day, I get in my bed and read a couple hours every night. It never gets old. I even took my daughter to Scotland last summer to see some of the Outlander sites and explore the Highlands. Thank you for this.
I know I shouldn’t say (or beg) this but I truly hope Claire nor Jamie die. I’m not sure I could keep rereading if I know one of them will. I hope we have a happy ending where Jamie and Claire grow old together but I have a feeling that’s not what is going to happen.
Anyway, thank you so much for changing my life. Sadly, I have a problem now comparing authors to you when I do venture into a different novel. You left very large shoes to fill.

I had a teacher that gave me the love of books. I have read hundreds of books, but there is nothing as good to read as outlander . I have all the books, including the sides etc . I have watched all the shows and outlander is the best that I’have ever watched on TV. There is nothing as good as outlander on TV. I am very sad that the show is going to end at the eighth season.. There are shows that has many more seasons than outlander and they are still rewriting new seasons for them. I think that outlander should have more seasons because the show is popular and people want to see more. I am also sad that the book is going to end at book 10.

I am so grateful with these excerpts-- and at 81, living long enough to read ABFAWGO is great motivation to take care of myself.

Question: in the above scene, why does Claire think Percy is (already) dead, before hearing William's news?

Thanks-- and stay healthy, yourself! - Lissy

It’s amazing how such a small sample can still completely immerse and captivate. I am mourning that this story must end. I have yet to watch the show but have “saved” it for this moment so that it might be a salve to my grief filled book hole, once I’ve been left bereft post last installment. As a voracious reader, I must thank you for penning the greatest story I’ve read in my lifetime! What a gift and wild ride it has been!! Much love and respect! Ps- not to assume to be worthy of a wish granted - But here it is all the same… my wish is to have a tiny grain of happy ending- be it supernatural or whatever, where these two lovers are tethered in time. There it is! However the cards fall… We are here for it!! Congratulations on this epic masterpiece ! Thank you Diana! -Tara
