Not surprisingly {cough}, they often end up with one of mine. They read it on the flight over, and upon arrival, then email their families with a request to send the rest of the series–which they then share with or read to the other members of their units (since war apparently really is “long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer terror”).   They also often write to me.
