Hi Diane,
Love your books Outlander. Idea, what about story about Germans from Russia who settled in Colorado harvesting sugar Beets. I have Geonology on all these folks my aunt kept all these records. Would be very popular with current and past history. Father was an Accordian player who entertained all during war time Pete Stremel.
These people danced the dutchop, in all the entertainment areas here. I am a former Nursing Home Administrator here in Denver area.

Yes, anxiously awaiting Book 10 - but in the meantime...The New Year has me working to keep my hive of bees alive through a rather harsh Indiana winter. If Valentina and her crew survive (and so far, they're doing very well), I'll create a second hive and hopefully harvest a bit of honey. Go Tell The Bees....was wonderful inspiration to finally gather in some bees and start the journey. Thank you for that! And for all the many incredible adventures your glorious characters bring to our lives!! I also have quite a bit of pruning to do (apples, lilacs, elderberry, the odd maple or two...). Our gardens are in need of a good clean up, so once the weather clears, work will begin. So 2025 should prove interesting in my camp - wishing you all the very best in yours!

Dear Diana - this summer my cousin and I are going to Scotland and will tour various Outlander spots. I can't wait. In preparation I'm re-reading all the books (again). I have a question.....Perhaps I've missed something and the answer is obvious but.....Here goes: In Written in My Own Heart's Blood the Rob Cameron fiasco has happened and Brianna is back in the house. She's in Roger's study and writes him a note to go into the secret drawer of the desk. Somehow she discovers another letter there, written by Frank Randall (Dearest Deadeye....). She's in Lallybroch; I don't recall FR ever being there; how did that letter get into what I believe is an old desk belonging to that house?
Thank you so much for all your wonderful works. Linda M.

Dear Ms. Gabaldon,
Knowing how incredibly busy you are, you may never see this, but I just wanted to convey thanks for all the many hours of enjoyment and, sometimes, comfort, I've received from your books.

Along with your many, many fans, I've gotten so much pleasure out of reading your books, from the very beginning in the 1990s. What I didn't expect is how much I've gotten from rereading your books. They are so rich with detail and fascinating characters that I never tire of reading the stories.

When our home was flooded in 2015, we had to go to a motel to spend the first night. I'd lost a lot of books in the flood but my kindle, thankfully, was not damaged and so I clung to it as we settled in to somehow try and get some sleep. I remember reading one of your books that night and it was so helpful to stop thinking of the flooding mess at our home for just awhile and to read and be enveloped by the story. It was like holding the hand of a friend.

Thank you,

Dear Diana

I first discovered "Outlander" in the romance section of a book store I was browsing. I suppose the Scottish theme of the of the paperback cover was what caught my eye. I assumed it would be a bodice ripper, but, I read the synopsis on the back and was intrigued by the time travel angle. I am now enjoying my 12th reading of Outlander and anxiously awaiting your next book. I hope you will publish before I finish rereading the rest of the series.

The first author to capture my imagination the way you have was Edgar Rice Burroughs and his Tarzan, Mars, & Venus books. You write hero's and the women they love with the same wit and gusto as he did. However, you are a much better researcher and reader educator than he was. I'm 77 years old now and I consider myself fortunate to have found Burroughs to spark my youthful imagination and you to so richly sustain it.

I come from a Scottish family and have always been very proud of my ancestry. My wife & I visited Scotland many years ago. We didn't get to visit the Culloden battlefield, but we did tour the McLean Castle on the Isle of Mull. I think that your writing captures the unique character of the Scottish people. Their sense of adventure, their devotion to family, their sense of humor and their joy of life.

Thank you for your wonderful Books!!

Although I never make New Year's resoluions I hope to get the rest of my poetry onto decent paper (done, alas, with an old manual typewriter, because I can't find a computer program that lets me do it). Then it needs to be organized, copied and the previously unpublished submitted somewhere for publication. I also have two acres to help subdue, dog to attend to (German shepherd), family to love. At 80, (this February) that keeps me busy--and of course there's my living area to try to maintain.
I found your Outlander series after we moved out here 24 years ago, and it has been a pleasure following it reading and re-reading the books. One goal I do have is to survive long enough to read your next book in the series. Thank you for providing so much great reading over the years and for expanding my field of interest in American history (I was an undergraduate History minor, but mostly British). Luckily, I spent a lot of time in upstate New York in the last few years, so I could visit battlefields, etc. Ft. Ticonderoga is especially impressive.
Godspeed with your many projects, and may you and your family prosper and thrive.

Dear Diana,
And yes, I do know how to pronounce your last name, as I used to work with a lady with the same name. I think I have read everything you’ve written, and I have completely worn out and had to replace both Outlander and Dragonfly.
I enjoy reading excerpts from your books, and hopefully I will still be around to read book 10 (I am 77.)
I don’t usually like to watch a movie after I’ve read the book, because I’ve seen the characters in my mind’s eye, and the movie doesn’t live up to my expectations. However, the casting in the Outlander tv series has been remarkable.
Yours truly,
Eileen McLaughlin
