So you have a nice thought, but even Feb. 29 (once every four years) or phases of the Moon can’t change that.

I did not want to be an Outlander fan. I retired in April of this year (70 years old). Went to Scotland and Ireland because I wanted to find my roots. I returned to my home in Michigan in May and was drawn to watching the entire series to date! Now I have just finished reading the novels up to #9, “Tell the bees…” I am now eagerly awaiting #10!! I will read the peripheral books as well and will read the ‘Lord John” series. I am now a fan! I have read many other time travel books but yours are far and away the best. You have brought them to life so completely that I can see and hear your characters. Thank you for these wonderful stories that take you to another TIME and place!!!

I think the list is a bit reaching, at least 3 items should be excluded:
- (2) axe blow in the head young Jamie got doesn’t count, it wasn’t a killing blow.
- (3) a dislocated shoulder and a minor gunshot wound weren’t immediately life-threatening
- (6) gunshot wound by Laoghaire wasn’t deadly either, actually J & C discuss it somewhere
- (8) ehh, I don’t remember Jamie being seriously wounded in Ticonderoga, was he actually?

I keep thinking the one time a non-traveler could travel would be a full moon on a leap year day.

That would mean all of them would travel together, including Jamie and the little one (Davey) could go, and with a bit of research could still live in the North Carolina back country, but having to adapt to present day.

I don;t think Jamie was every close to death when he suffered a dislocated shoulder and was shot so I think he still has one life left.

Thanks so much for book 10. I adore this whole series. Is Book 10 in the works for Starz as well. I keep seeing fans ask if Jamie is dying in seasons 7 and 8. And I keep saying Diana hasn’t written him out yet.

Thanks for your talent, your skill, and for weaving such a rich and marvelous story. Interesting to me . . . my maternal grandfather’s family receive a land grant in NC after serving in the Revolutionary War. It went back to the state and part of it is named Dameron’s Marsh. I believe a preserve. So . . . this is also all very interesting to me. We have an early abstract and found the conveyance included in it. Additionally . . . I’m supposed to be a relative of Martha Washington, which could make me eligible to be a Daughter of the Revolution. But . . . who knows. Finally, I’m a Duncan and became inspired to purchase my Duncan ancient kilt.

The story of this birth and the details that Claire sees to confirm her hypothesis are so well explained that I have no doubts about the veracity of this information. In the novels I’ve read, I’ve learned a lot about medical issues (yes, ok, not just about these) Considering the research work that Mrs. Gabaldon does when she writes. in this specific case I now know that there are other physical aspects that distinguish Down syndrome. Things I didn’t know. I never stop learning. Thank you
