I signed up to vote on the Great American Read solely so i could vote for this series. I clapped and cheered as I watched the finale. I was thrilled to hear how many other people felt the same way. The PBS series will also bring a whole new set of fans to the series, just as it should be. Congratulations!

I am thrilled that the Outlander Series came in as the #2 most popular book last night in the Great American Read! I own all the books in hard copy and have loved them since Outlander was first published in 1990. Last night, I told my husband about a conversation I had in the very early 90′s with our town’s librarian. When I remarked that I could not find Outlander in the stacks under “Romance,” (which was where it was initially filed), she informed me of the growing audience for the book, including US soldiers stationed in war zones overseas. It’s been fun to watch the series being “discovered!”

Congrats on a lifetime of writing that has produced such an interesting and beloved body of work!

Diana, OF COURSE I voted for the Outlander series! They’re books with excellent plot, superior writing, and outstanding characters. They made, and continue to make, a difference to me, they touch my heart. Than you for all the hard work and for the genius!
