Hi,

This is Diana's Webmistress answering, who has known her a long time.

Diana does not pay attention to requests on what to write next, or which characters to focus on. Stories and characters have lives of their own, in a way. All great authors are that way that I have been around.

Diana has said that after the tenth Outlander novel, she may write a prequel about Jamie's parents. And then maybe a novel featuring Master Raymond after that.

Have you read all of the excerpts from Book Nine, BEES? If not, you might enjoy them, and see a bit of Minnie. They are listed on Diana's official BEES webpage at:

http://www.dianagabaldon.com/books/outlander-series/book-nine-outlander-series/

Enjoy!

Diana I have read all your out lander series 2 - 3x
As well as The Lord John series & Seven stones
I read a wide variety of material but love your history adventure & on going story of Jamie & Claire
There is something warm & inviting about the books that you can read them once then go back like an old friend & read them again.
Plus I know more about America history & geography than I did back in school many decades ago
Keep up the great work.

Hi,

So I just finished Besieged, and I’m a little confused. Where does this fall in the chronology? It has him leaving Jamaica, which is after Helwater, right? Because he is governor there when he sees Jaime and Claire and she finds out about Willie. But his mother says something to him along the lines of, “so that’s why you’ve never gotten married”, when they are talking about her interesting life and her memoirs. Wouldn’t he have married Isobel Dunsany by then? Does he go to Jamaica more than once? Or is this another tesseract?

Thanks!
