Just catching up on season 3 and Young Ian has just met Claire. I’m confused by the choice to have him be so fair haired on TV. Did you have any input on this costumeing choice? Ian has always been described as having dark hair.
Waiting excitedly for the new book!

Filomena,

Yes, there will be a season four! Just wrapped up with filming, in fact. Will be out in some markets in fall, 2018, apparently.

Cheers,

Diana,

I am one who has watched the series fiest and now I have just finished book 1, which was great, your attention to detail especially in history aspects is astounding. I had an issue with season three that seem to take a different turn from the first two seasons in that it seem to make Clair more of a mother figure to Jamie rather then an equal which is what I believe is your intention from your first book. I think with this whole women’s movement that is happened in the past year the writers felt that they needed to do something but I feel that they have gone overboard and trying to make Clair too strong of a women and it’s actually coming off as a little bit annoying in my opinion. There is one episode in particular where he says something to her and she turns around and gives him “the look”, you know the look that all of us mothers use make our kids cower in fear and that is exactly what he did and it mad me cringe. There are many other examples but I won’t get into all of that so I guess my question is, since I haven’t made it to book 3 yet. Is this really what Jamie has become after being apart from her for so long? Is he really so afraid of losing her that he will just let her do an act however she wants? As a reader it makes me not want to read any further, I am a strong woman who doesn’t need a man but I love having a man in my life but I wouldn’t want one who I have to treat like my child, I want to equal in life not another child. I thought the whole series was more about a couple who stayed togetger and go through many obstacles but they do it as equal partners and that’s how they get through it.

Thank you for this saga, I was afraid to watch the TV series, it is never the reflection of books. But I was not disappointed, I find the episodes in rendering, the essential is there, for fans, the details are intersected without difficulty the series. Will the TV series go to the end of the novel's story? I look forward to the series 4 in France, thank you again.
