Dear Pat--

No, alas, Bernard wasn't with us this year. We had a wonderful lineup of readers, though, and a marvelous variety of scenes. Massive thanks to everyone who participated!

As one of those two men chosen to read a sex scene, I want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I read from "The Ice Queen", a Viking novel I'm hoping to find a publisher for, where my young hero is seduced by a lustful Russian princess. I've never performed (sex or anything else) in front of two hundred people before so I was a teeny bit nervous, but it went well and people laughed in the right places. So, thank you for the opportunity, Diana.

The readings were magnificent. A complete tour de force! Thank you, Diana, for all the fun at the conference and for your very kind questions here. Still marvelling over the triumph that is 'The Scottish Prisoner' - I've never read a better first line. Gripping is an understatement! - it's another masterpiece.

Over 40 volunteers to read naughty scenes in a banquet hall possibly because of the 50 Shades craze!
I am not quite sure what to think about that. However, have a great time and enjoy the conference.
