Diana, it has taken me this long to finally start the Trilogy… and what a fantastic story! You would laugh, I’ve been a fan of yours for 12+ years, and midway through Tome of the Undergates, I shook it in front of my husband’s face & said “It’s Sam, Diana’s son! He’s got The Gift!” (excuse the first-name familiarity… we have many Outlander fans & book collections in the family.)
I just finished it, and thought “What a great book, I’m so proud,” and then came to write to you, before a web search to acquire the 2nd book.
I see he was just at DragonCon, and though I’m usually a Decatur Book Fest person, I’m thinking next year will be a DragonCon year…
Anyway! Cheers to you and yours! I’m SO excited to have a new (Methadone) series in front of me…

Much of the pages is dark teal on my non- ipad tablet. I agree with Gina that the website/blogs are very, very difficult to read! Part of the pages will be yellow which will change to teal.

Dear Gina–

Are you by chance reading the site on an iPad? The website actually has a cream-yellow background for the text; the teal is the framing color. For reasons unknown, iPads won’t recognize the yellow color, which is why you only see the underlying teal. I’ll ask my web-designer whether something can be done to accommodate iPads, but I assure you that it looks fine on other devices.

Is it possible to please delete the dark teal background on this website and change it to a lighter color? I cannot focus on the letters without straining my eyes with this teal color. I am a big fan and have read all books several times. Thank you.

I liked the first book, but didn’t continue with the second, because there was so much bitching in the first book which I couldn’t easily take at the time, and REALLY I’m not of his target group anyways. This now sounds like a lot of fun. I do love his style of writing!

Well, darn it, did he defeat the greenshict or not? Not nice to leave us hanging, even though I know that it was done on purpose to make us want more. Lol. Not usually my kind of reading material, but now I’m intrigued. Quite a world your son has imagined. I didn’t know what to expect, but he has creative writing chops that are uniquely his own, doesn’t he?

I have never been a sci-fi fan, but it sounds like your son is following in his mom’s footsteps!! Very descriptive writing! It left me not knowing who to root for: Gariath, the shict, or the shark!

Congratulations and best wishes that your son’s career in writing may be as prosperous and prolific as your own!
