Huge fan of all Diana Gabaldon's work. Thank you for every word of every book. I've read everything (I think) with only "Plague of Zombies" left to consume. Lord John has won me over time and time again. I'm sure requests are constant, so I'll just add mine to the list. I would love to see a story beginning with how John met Hector, and continue to the scandal that led to John being sent to govern Adrsmuir Prison. I think it would be interesting to meet a younger John Grey and see how he developed into the man he has become.

A terrific addition to a delightful anthology! As a longtime fan, most reluctant to criticize in any way (I add in hopes of forgiveness{g}), I am curious as to why you took such a dramatic departure from the names of the sister and brother installed at Twelvetrees. In Voyager, you have them named as Marcelline Williams and her brother Judah. Plague of Zombies has them called Nancy and Philip. You normally have such excellent consistency across stories/novels/novellas, did I miss an important data point that explains it all?

Hi, Jonny--

I'll have to look for the Reichs book! As for Dashwood, everything about him in "Hell-fire Club" (including the names of his associates, like Bubb-Dodington {g}, and the entrance to his underground club-house) was taken from the historical record. This doesn't necessarily mean the historical record is _right_, mind--but people did write/say these things about him.

It took me a while to warm to Lord John and I still find it hard to believe that he has such intense emotions for Jamie even though he knows those feelings will never be returned. However, after reading The Scottish Prisoner & the Outlander books, my interest is tweaked and I am now seeking out the other writings where he is featured.

On a side note, I noticed that one of the books, Lord John and the Hellfire Club, has Sir Francis Dashwood as a character or reference to the historical figure. I just recently re-read Kathy Reichs' Fatal Voyage and this book has reference to the same Hellfire Club. Will be interesting to read your take.

Note to self: Must learn more about Dashwood. :))

Dear Carolyn--

I think there _is_ one on this site. It's under the "Writing" tab on the main page. (Really should change that to "Books.")

Hi Diana,
Looking forward to all the new books coming out, just a question that I know a lot of your fans are wondering about, is there a change that all your short stories will come out in their own book?
I have all of your books in hard cover and their one of my most cherished possessions, and would LOVE to add an book with all your short stories.....hint hint....
Anthologies are all nice and dandy but I would be buying them only for your part in them, not that I won't enjoy the other stories, but you know what I mean~ I hope~ so maybe something to keep in mind?
Thanks for all the reading enjoyment you've brought me and will in the future, your the best!!

I didn't want to like Lord John ,either, when you first brought him in to his own, but I am really enjoying his adventures. I can't wait for LJ and TSP and wont touch my outlander books until I know the publishing dates for book #8 . Then I will reread the last book like a fiend to get ready for it. -

BTW - I have several gay male friends and have shared the Lord John series. they send their compliments and thanks for 1) portraying the "gay male personna realistically and very accuratley for the times. 2) making a "gay" man the Lead and the Good Guy.

Thanks, Diana
