i am not looking forward to the wait for numero 8. how does everyone manage? i read Outlander in Feb of this year and was able to begin a new book in the series as soon as i'd finished the previous.

at this point, i think of Jamie & Claire as good friends and fully expect to miss them. have downloaded the audio versions of the books on audible to help with the pangs.

In fact, when I've heard her narrate other books, I've had to stop and say wait, wait that's Claire, not Isobel Dalhousie (or whomever the character is) and readjust my perspective to the new character.
On another subject, I get so angry at the — albeit few here on this site — people who feel compelled to leave hurtful, arrogant, and just plain mean comments for you. If you're so upset by the direction an author takes with their own character, just don't read the book, or future books! I think it's that simple. But to leave a really mean or otherwise negative comment on a public site is just plain stupid. Well, I guess I figured out right there why they do it; they're just plain stupid! Poor things. Take a breath, Diana, pack some clean undies, and go out into the book-tour world and knock 'em dead. I met you at the tea in Flagstaff, and I know your incredibly open, friendly, and welcoming personality just runs right over those negativers. All the best!
